Tips for brighter days, even when the sun says otherwise!

As we move into the darker months, it’s normal to feel a dip in energy or mood. But small habits, especially around nutrition, movement, and rest, can help support your mental well-being through the season.
Eat to feel good:
Balanced meals with protein, fiber, and healthy fats help keep blood sugar steady, which is key for emotional stability. Omega-3s (found in salmon, walnuts, flax) may also support mood.
Move daily – even a little:
Exercise increases serotonin and endorphins, your brain’s natural feel-good chemicals. Even a short walk outside during daylight hours can boost both energy and mood.
Prioritize sleep:
Shorter days can throw off our internal clocks. Try to keep a regular sleep schedule, and aim for 7–9 hours of restful sleep each night.
